Nonesuch Albums Make Year's Best Lists from American Songwriter, Paste, Uncut, Q, Mojo
There's still more than a month to go before 2011 comes to a close, but already the music magazines have begun to weigh in on the year's best music. American Songwriter, Paste, Uncut, Q, and Mojo have all published their lists of the Top 50 Albums of the Year, and included among them are a number of Nonesuch releases: the latest albums from Björk, Ry Cooder, Jessica Lea Mayfield, and The Low Anthem, as well as the soon-to-be-released album from The Black Keys, due out next week.
About this Album
This special limited-edition vinyl 7-inch of The Low Anthem's single "Charlie Darwin" releases on March 23, featuring new and unreleased material. The single's A-side includes "Charlie Darwin," off the band's Nonesuch debut, Oh My God, Charlie Darwin, and the B-side includes two staples from the band's live show, the previously unreleased "Sally Where'd You Get Your Liquor From" (originally by Rev. Gary Davis) and "Don't Let Nobody Turn You Around" (originally by Blind Willie McTell), a bonus track previously only available on iTunes. The "Darwin" 7-inch package references the band's initial hand-painted and silkscreened self-release of Oh My God, Charlie Darwin.
