Amadou & Mariam to Tour North America This Summer with Music from New Album, "Folila"
Amadou & Mariam will tour North America this summer for the first time since 2009, stopping at festivals including Lollapalooza, Central Park SummerStage, Outside Lands, and Osheaga, in addition to headlining theaters and clubs. On the tour, Amadou & Mariam will perform songs from Folila, the duo’s critically acclaimed new album.

Amadou & Mariam, Carolina Chocolate Drops to Perform Free Central Park SummerStage Concerts
The schedule for the 2012 season of Central Park SummerStage free concerts has been announced, and among the performers taking to the stage in the heart of New York City's Central Park this summer are Amadou & Mariam, on August 4, and Carolina Chocolate Drops, on August 11. Theophilus London, a contributor on Amadou & Mariam's recently released new album, Folila, joins the Malian duo for their SummerStage concert; Buckwheat Zydeco and Abigail Washburn join Carolina Chocolate Drops for theirs.
About this Album
This digital EP includes "Dougou Badia," the first song off Amadou & Mariam's forthcoming album, Folila. Santigold, who co-wrote the song with Mariam, joins her on vocals. Also included are an alternate mix of the song by Danger Mouse cohort Kennie Takahashi; the album track “Oh Amadou” (with Bertrand Cantat); and a live version of “Wily Kataso” from Eclipse, a show staged in complete darkness at the 2011 Manchester International Festival.
