As Wilco's TransCanada Tour Comes to a Close, Band Adds UK Dates in September
As the world's Olympic athletes bid farewell to Canada, Wilco too will soon say adieu as the band's TransCanada Tour concludes this week. The next leg of the tour begins soon, and new dates have just been added to the European tour in September. Before then, Glenn Kotche will join Mario Batali for an event to benefit eighth blackbird. And a song from Wilco's 2009 tour stop at Bonnaroo is available for free with your support of the current climate change bill.

Wilco Continues Across Canada, Following Sold-Out Sets in the Midwest
Wilco's Trans-Canada tour, a.k.a. the Tundra Tour, is under way with a performance in Hamilton, Ontario, tonight, and is being marked with the poster at left. The band has also added five tour dates in Germany this September. Last weekend's trio of sold-out sets in the Midwest included Wilco's being named an honorary Duluth band by the city's mayor and a show in Madison that The A.V. Club says confirmed: "This version of Wilco is simply the most reliable working rock band we have today."
About this Album
"It's the best it's ever felt," said Jeff Tweedy of these 2005 Wilco performances recorded in Chicago. Rolling Stone calls Kicking Television “a love letter to Wilco's dedicated fans and a definitive live statement from America's foremost rock impressionists.”
