The first of a series of albums that revived the recording career of pianist Mieczyslaw Horszowski, the Los Angeles Times called this a “profoundly satisfying recital” from “one of the musical wonders of the century.” The New York Times placed atop the year’s list of favorite classical recordings, calling it “pure gold.”
