The Unknown Kurt Weill

About this Album

The CD of this album is available to purchase at ArkivMusic.

Lotte Lenya, Kurt Weill's widow, once told Teresa Stratas that "nobody can sing Weill's music better than you do" and offered the singer this set of previously unpublished songs to perform. The New York Times called it a "landmark" recording that "blended theatrical spunk with classical vocalism."
