    Natalie Merchant has unveiled a short video of outtakes from her forthcoming film album and film, Paradise Is There: The New Tigerlily Recordings, featuring the song "Beloved Wife." In the video, people share their heartfelt stories of what the song has meant to them, accompanied by footage of Merchant performing the song live with her band. You can watch it here.

    The Arcs recently stopped by The Village recording studios in LA, where they performed a live take of "Stay in My Corner," off Yours, Dreamily, their forthcoming debut album. You can watch the performance, which premiered via Rolling Stone, plus recently unveiled performances of "Outta My Mind" and "Put a Flower in Your Pocket" from the same session here. All three album tracks are available to download now with pre-orders of the new album.

    Conor Oberst, while on tour for his Nonesuch Records debut album, Upside Down Mountain, performed at the House of Blues in Boston this past June. The WGBH program Front Row Boston was there to capture the event. You can now watch the full set, including several songs from Upside Down Mountain, Bright Eyes tunes, and more, here. Oberst tours the West Coast with M. Ward and The Felice Brothers this fall.

    The Arcs recently stopped by The Village recording studios in Los Angeles, where they performed a live take of "Outta My Mind," the first single off Yours, Dreamily, their forthcoming debut album. You can watch the performance here. The album track "Outta My Mind," which is available to download now with pre-orders of Yours, Dreamily, has garnered critical acclaim, with Vulture praising its "raw, bare-bones appeal," and Spin noting its "barrage of deliciously reverbed, strung-out riffs." The song is also featured on a 7-inch single with non-album track "My Mind."

    The Arcs, whose debut album, Yours, Dreamily, is due out September 4, have unveiled the video for a new track off the album, "Put a Flower in Your Pocket." The video was directed by "El Oms" (artist Omar Juarez)—who created the art for the Yours, Dreamily, album cover and vinyl 7-inch singles for the tracks "Stay in My Corner" and "Outta My Mind"—and premiered today via Noisey, which calls the track "dirty, bluesy soulful music with a reverbed, modern twist." Watch it here. The track premiered on Zane Lowe's show on Beats 1 earlier in the day.

    Rhiannon Giddens has written a new song, entitled "Cry No More," in response to the tragic shooting of nine parishioners at the Emanuel AME church in Charleston, SC, in June. She brought together friends and band members to film a video for the song, which she co-wrote with her sister Lalenja Harrington, at the United Congregational Church in her home town of Greensboro, NC. The video, directed by filmmaker Harvey Robinson, premiered via NPR Music. You can watch it here.

    The Bad Plus Joshua Redman, which kicked off the European leg of its tour over the weekend, stopped by the KPLU-FM studios in Seattle during the recent US leg of the tour to discuss and perform from their just-released self-titled debut album, which host Abe Beeson calls "the jazz album of the year so far." Watch the band's KPLU performances of the album's first two tracks, "As This Moment Slips Away" and "Beauty Has It Hard," here.

    The Bad Plus Joshua Redman has unveiled a brief video of the group—saxophonist Joshua Redman and The Bad Plus, bassist Reid Anderson, pianist Ethan Iverson, and drummer David King—at Brooklyn Recording studio as they made their just-released self-titled debut album.     Rhiannon Giddens, Emmylou Harris, and Rodney Crowell 's very special performance in The Gospel Tradition: In Performance at the White House, from April, receives its TV broadcast premiere on PBS stations across the US this Friday, June 26, at 9 PM ET. They join President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama and an esteemed group of performers, including Aretha Franklin, Darlene Love, and Lyle Lovett, to pay tribute to the fundamental role gospel music has played in the American musical tradition.     Lianne La Havas has unveiled a music video for "What You Don't Do," the second single off her forthcoming album, Blood, which is due out later this year. The song has just premiered on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record. The video was directed by Leila and Damien De Blinkk.
