Björk, whose new album, Biophilia, was recently released on One Little Indian / Nonesuch Records, has now unveiled the video for the song "Thunderbolt." The video, which was shot at the world premiere of the live Biophilia show at the Manchester International Festival this summer, made its debut on Boing Boing yesterday. It was directed by thirtytwo and produced by Dan Bowen for Pulse Films. Fans around the world can now watch it below via YouTube and at nonesuch.com/media.

"Thunderbolt" is the third full-length video from the album, following "Moon" and the Michel Gondry-directed "Crystalline." Björk was awarded the Digital Genius Award at MTV's O Music Awards on Monday; more than 22 million fans worldwide voted on this year's awards. "Even though she was up against some similarly smart competitors," says MTV, "Bjork’s dedication to inventive storytelling and to her music ... put her at the head of this overachieving class." Watch Björk's acceptance speech at omusicawards.com.

People magazine, in a recent review of the Biophilia album, says "Björk still feels ahead of her time" and describes the album as "a sonic wonder." Blurt rates the album an eight out of ten. "Björk's softly epic Biophilia is a delicate and highly tactile treat, a unique gem of innovation ... and gentle real soul whose breathy endearing heights Bjork hasn't touched in a minute," writes reviewer A.D. Amorosi. "Not as a composer, a lyricist or even as a vocalist has she sounded so exceptionally grand yet winsomely intimate." Amorosi concludes: "Near perfection." Read the review at blurt-online.com.

To pick up a copy of Biophilia in North America, head to the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include high-quality, 320 kbps MP3s of the album at checkout.

Björk continues her fully sold-out Biophilia residency at Harpa Concert Hall in her hometown of Reykjavik, with two additional performances, tonight and Monday. The Wall Street Journal recently described it as "a magical evening."
