Devendra Banhart, who made his Nonesuch Records debut with the release of his eighth studio album, Mala, earlier this year, will tour Latin America in November. Banhart and his band—Noah Georgeson, Matthew Compton, Josiah Steinbrick, Rodrigo Amarante, and Todd Dahlhoff—kick off the tour with two previously announced nights at El Plaza Condesa in Mexico City November 8 (sold out) and 9, followed by four nights in Brazil, shows in Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, and Peru, and a set at the Primavera Fauna festival in Chile. See below for all of the currently scheduled Latin American tour dates; visit nonesuch.com/on-tour for additional details. Tickets for the newly announced show go on sale starting next week.

Banhart has also unveiled a remix of "Golden Girls," the opening track off of Mala, by German pianist/composer Hauschka (aka Volker Bertelmann). The track premiered on Pitchfork earlier today. "One of the biggest surprises of 2013 was Devendra Banhart's excellent latest LP, Mala, a light, breezy collection of tunes that served as an ample reminder of the singer/songwriter's considerable talents," writes Pitchfork's Larry Fitzmaurice in the premiere of the track. "(Also, if you get a chance to see him on tour any time soon, do so—his live show is stronger than ever.)" You can hear the "Golden Girls" remix and download it for free below.

Mala was released to critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic, with Pitchfork calling it "Banhart's best record in nearly a decade." The album received four-star reviews from, among others, Mojo, Q, the Times of London, and the Guardian, which called it a "triumph." Under the Radar concludes: "He's a singularly idiosyncratic and brilliant songwriter, one hitting an arresting stride on this uniformly superb album."
