    Watch: Iron and Wine Performs for WBUR's "Off the Record"

    While touring the US East Coast last month, Iron and Wine's Sam Beam stopped by the Boston Public Library to discuss his songwriting with WBUR's Off the Record and perform a couple of songs off the new album Ghost on Ghost. Watch the solo, acoustic performances of the album tracks "Caught in the Briars" and "Grace for Saints and Ramblers" and listen to the interview here. The Guardian gave four stars to last week's London show, saying "Beam writes with an artist’s eye, his songs alive with place and time ... [His] easy charm dazzles."

    Watch: Iron and Wine Performs on WFUV's "Words and Music from Studio A"

    Iron and Wine recently concluded the first leg of its tour featuring music from the new album Ghost on Ghost, making stops along the US East Coast. While in New York last month, Sam Beam and the band stopped by WFUV, 90.7 FM, to discuss and perform a few songs from the album—"Grace for Saints and Ramblers," "Low Light Buddy of Mine," and "The Desert Babbler"— for Words and Music from Studio A. You can watch those performances here. The European tour starts next week, and the next leg of the North American tour in September is on sale now.

    Iron and Wine Announces US and Canada Tour Dates for September

    Iron and Wine, which is currently touring the US East Coast in support of the new album Ghost on Ghost, has announced a number of new tour dates for the US and Canada this September. The 11-city tour includes stops in Minneapolis, Chicago, Madison, Winnipeg, Calgary, Toronto, and more. Fan pre-sale begins on Wednesday via Artist Arena; general on-sale begins on Friday. Iron and Wine will perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on June 24.

    Watch: Iron and Wine Performs on "Conan"

    Iron and Wine was the musical guest on Conan last night. Singer-songwriter Sam Beam and his band performed "Low Light Buddy of Mine" off their Nonesuch Records debut album, Ghost on Ghost. They also gave a web-exclusive performance of two other album tracks, "Caught in the Briars / Sundown." Watch the performances here. Iron and Wine kicks off an eight-city US tour at the Bottle Rock Napa Valley festival in Napa, California, this Saturday, followed by a run of shows along the East Coast with special guests The Secret Sisters.

    Iron and Wine Featured on NPR's "All Things Considered"

    Iron and Wine was featured on the latest episode of NPR's All Things Considered. Singer-songwriter Sam Beam, whose fifth album under that pen name, Ghost on Ghost, was released on Nonesuch Records / 4AD earlier this month, spoke with host Melissa Block about the new album, his songwriting process, and the cohesive feel that ties the songs together.

    Watch: Iron and Wine Performs on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon"

    Iron and Wine was the musical guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday night. Singer-songwriter Sam Beam and his band gave what Consequence of Sound calls a "spirited rendition of 'Grace for Saints and Ramblers,'" a track off the new album Ghost on Ghost. They also gave a web-exclusive performance of another album track, "Grass Widows." Watch both performances here.

    Iron and Wine to Perform on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon"

    Iron and Wine is the musical guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on NBC tonight at 12:35 AM. Sam Beam and his band perform “Grace for Saints and Ramblers,” off the just-released album Ghost on Ghost. Beam stopped by New York public radio station WNYC yesterday to perform a few songs from Ghost on Ghost on Soundcheck and talk with host John Schaefer about the new album, which was recorded over two weeks in Brooklyn.     Iron and Wine's Sam Beam Talks to New York Times About New Album, "Ghost on Ghost"

    Iron and Wine, aka singer-songwriter Sam Beam, spoke with the New York Times about the evolution of his songwriting, culminating in the just-released album Ghost on Ghost, his Nonesuch debut. "Some of the tracks on the new LP are built over jazz rhythms and walking bass lines; others are constructed over funk beats," writes the Times' James C. McKinley. "The songs feature Motown chord progressions with R&B horn lines, string parts and rich layered backup harmonies reminiscent of John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s late arrangements. One track, 'Lover’s Revolution,' is a conscious nod to Charles Mingus."

    Watch: Iron and Wine Performs at SXSW for KEXP

    Iron and Wine, whose new album, Ghost on Ghost, was released earlier this week, hit the SXSW music conference in Austin last month, performing at several official showcases throughout the city. One such set was at the KEXP Stage at Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop, where singer-songwriter Sam Beam performed solo acoustic takes on songs from the new album and more.
