    Jessica Lea Mayfield will tour in the US this November and December in support of her highly acclaimed Nonesuch Records debut album, Tell Me, playing with her brother David Mayfield on their Sibling Rivalry Tour. Growing up in Kent, Ohio, the Mayfields were surrounded by bluegrass and folk music; both David and Jessica first performed with their family band One Way Rider, traveling across the country in a 1956 tour bus once belonging to Bill Monroe, Kitty Wells, and Ernest Tubb.

    Jessica Lea Mayfield launches a month-long summer tour, including a number of headline shows as well as a ten-day tour supporting Langhorne Slim. Mayfield kicks off the tour with a headlining show at Firebird in St. Louis tonight, followed by shows in Kansas City, Wichita, Denver, and Salt Lake City. The tour with Langhorne Slim begins at the Independent in San Francisco and the Troubador in LA next week and includes additional stops in California, Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

    Jessica Lea Mayfield has extended her tour into the summer with a number of headline shows and a ten-day tour supporting Langhorne Slim. Following previously announced spring sets at the Nelsonville Music Festival and Appalachian Uprising, the summer tour begins with headlining shows in St. Louis, Kansas City, Denver, and Salt Lake City. The tour with Langhorne Slim kicks off in San Francisco and LA and includes additional stops in California, Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

    Jessica Lea Mayfield launches a spring tour of the United States with a performance at the Rhythm 'N' Blooms festival in Knoxville, Tennessee, this weekend. Mayfield's set will take place Saturday evening at the John Black Studio. From there, the tour heads throughout the South, making stops in Jackson, Shreveport, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Little Rock, Nashville, and Louisville, as well as two festivals in Mayfield's home state of Ohio: at the Nelsonville Music Festival and Appalachian Uprising.

    Jessica Lea Mayfield, who is currently touring North America with Ryan Adams, is featured in a Daytrotter session, performing four songs from her album Tell Me. Mayfield's songs "are beautifully sober reminders that we're not always thinking straight and it's not always such a bad thing to do the things that you're not supposed to be doing," says Daytrotter, who which calls Tell Me "a spectacular collection of heartbreak and innocence ...     There's still more than a month to go before 2011 comes to a close, but already the music magazines have begun to weigh in on the year's best music. American Songwriter, Paste, Uncut, Q, and Mojo have all published their lists of the Top 50 Albums of the Year, and included among them are a number of Nonesuch releases: the latest albums from Björk, Ry Cooder, Jessica Lea Mayfield, and The Low Anthem, as well as the soon-to-be-released album from The Black Keys, due out next week.

    Jessica Lea Mayfield launches a three-week headlining US tour in Chattanooga, Tennessee, tonight. From there, the tour makes stops throughout the South, with shows in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Virginia. Following her headlining tour, Mayfield will join the Drive-By Truckers for a few shows up North. She'll also play two additional headlining dates in Brooklyn and Annapolis. She supports Ryan Adams on tour in December.

    Jessica Lea Mayfield performs at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville tonight for the Americana Music Association's 10th Annual Honors and Awards. She has been nominated for the award for New/Emerging Artist of the Year. The ceremony also includes live performances by this year's Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Lucinda Williams, Jerry Douglas, and Gregg Allman. The show will be webcast live at npr.org and broadcast in an edited version on PBS's Austin City Limits in November.

    Jessica Lea Mayfield is among the artists featured on the new mix streaming from NPR Music and Folk Alley celebrating the recipients and nominees of the Americana Music Association's 10th Annual Honors and Awards. Mayfield has been nominated for the 2011 Americana Music Award for New/Emerging Artist of the Year.     Jessica Lea Mayfield is set to support Ryan Adams on his North American tour this December. The tour starts in Philadelphia on December 2 and runs through December 13 in Minneapolis, with stops in Baltimore, New York City, Boston, Toronto, and Chicago. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 30, at 10 AM. Mayfield recently added new headlining tour dates in November and opens for John Prine, the Avett Brothers, and Drive-By Truckers along the way.

    Jessica Lea Mayfield, who is currently touring the United States in support of her Nonesuch debut album, Tell Me, has just added a new set of US tour dates to follow in November, with stops across the South and up to Brooklyn, NY. Mayfield's current schedule also include several festival stops and previously announced dates with John Prine, the Avett Brothers, and the Drive-By Truckers. The deadline to enter the animated music video contest for the Tell Me album track "Blue Skies Again" is Thursday, September 22; the prize includes $500, the album on CD and vinyl, a t-shirt, and concert tickets.
