k.d. lang Featured on NPR's Weekend Edition

k.d. lang and her new album, Sing it Loud, were featured on NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday this past weekend. lang spoke with host Liane Hansen about the making of the album and collaborating with co-writer and producer Joe Pisapia. "The second everybody walked into the room, the energy was palpable. It was an amazing session," says lang, of the July 4th recording session in Nashville with her band the Siss Boom Bang. k.d. lang is currently in the UK celebrating the local release of Sing it Loud, and started this week off with several TV performances. On Sunday she visited BBC's Something for the Weekend, and on Monday, lang visited the BBC's Breakfast on BBC One for a live interview; you can view the show here. On Tuesday, lang and the band give a live performance on Later ... With Jools Holland on BBC Two.

The UK's Observer has given Sing it Loud a four-star review. Writer Ally Carnwath says that lang "presides effortlessly" over the "warm, fluid collection of jazz and country-flecked songs [that] brim with confidence." Read the full review here.
