    Chris Thile—whose new album with Punch Brothers, Who's Feeling Young Now?, is due out in two weeks—is playing at Boston's House of Blues tonight with his fellow Goat Rodeo Sessions players: Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, and Edgar Meyer. Fans across the US will have a chance to catch all of the string-virtuoso magic on the big screen as the concert is broadcast live to movie theaters in all 50 states. Thile will join his fellow Punch Brothers on their US tour in February.

    Punch Brothers have just returned home to the United States after a week in Europe that included five-star reviews for their shows in London and Glasgow. As Punch Brothers prepare to launch its US tour in Baton Rouge with Loudon Wainwright III this Friday, they have just added another string of East Coast dates in April, including stops in New York City, Philadelphia, DC, Atlanta, Nashville, and more.     Punch Brothers played songs from their forthcoming album, Who's Feeling Young Now?, at Bush Hall in London last night. The Guardian calls it "an exciting, wildly original set," giving it four stars. Chris Thile "provided acrobatic, sometimes fragile vocals and virtuoso mandolin work, with intricate changes of direction that were perfectly matched by his colleagues." The Times of London gives it a perfect five stars, exclaiming: "Brilliant, audacious, original and, above all, entertaining; Punch Brothers put on a show that pushed the boundaries of excellence in contemporary music performance in virtually all directions."

    Carolina Chocolate Drops and Punch Brothers are in the UK this week, set to share a bill at Celtic Connections in Glasgow on Friday. Before then, Punch Brothers have been performing with Amos Lee and headline their own show at Bush Hall in London. Carolina Chocolate Drops have been making the rounds at the BBC, performing songs from their forthcoming album, Leaving Eden, on BBC Radio 3's In Tune and talking with Radio 4's Front Row about reclaiming the black string-band tradition.

    Punch Brothers release their new album, Who’s Feeling Young Now?, February 14, 2012, on Nonesuch Records. Completed over three weeks at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, the record was produced by Grammy Award winner Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse). The band begins a US tour in support of the new album on February 17. Ten songs from Who’s Feeling Young Now? were written by Punch Brothers, with the band’s friend Josh Ritter co-writing lyrics on two tunes. The album also contains the band’s interpretations of Radiohead’s “Kid A” and the Swedish group Vasen’s “Flippen.” Download the opening track, “Movement and Location," here.

    Punch Brothers have announced a North American tour for February and March of 2012 in support of their forthcoming album. The new run of shows begins with two nights at the Somerville Theatre outside of Boston on February 23 and 24 and includes stops in Burlington, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, and Minneapolis, before heading out West for sets in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Denver. The shows follow a previously announced European tour and Chris Thile's set with Michael Daves as part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook series.

    Punch Brothers kick off their fall tour supporting legendary singer-songwriter Paul Simon across the US South and Midwest. The nearly three-week tour opens at the UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans tonight and runs through November 23 at the EJ Thomas Performing Arts Hall in Akron, Ohio. While on the road with Simon, Punch Brothers will play a solo show at the High Noon Saloon in Madison, Wisconsin, a week from Saturday.

    The line-up for the 2012 Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, Scotland, was announced today and among the artists on this year's line-up are the Carolina Chocolate Drops and Punch Brothers. The Nonesuch Records label mates are playing a double header show together at O2 ABC 1 Glasgow on January 20. Both bands are playing their own headliner shows in London that week; Punch Brothers also join Amos Lee for several shows in Europe then.

    Punch Brothers are set to support legendary singer-songwriter Paul Simon on his tour of the United States this November. The nearly three-week tour starts in New Orleans on Friday, November 4, and runs through Wednesday, November 23, in Akron, Ohio. Punch Brothers open for Ray LaMontagne in New York City's Central Park tonight and in Pittsburgh tomorrow night before heading to the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park this weekend.
