Sara Watkins, who brought her spring tour to a close with three performances over the weekend—a set supporting Dawes for Friday Cheers in Richmond, Virginia; a headline show at New York's City Winery Saturday; and a Sunday set at the Clearwater Festival—has now added a string of new fall dates as special guest of Jackson Browne on his US Acoustic Tour. The tour, which begins this summer on July 14 in Charlotte, North Carolina, runs through mid-August, before picking up again mid-October and ending on November 15 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Watkins' opening sets will feature songs from her new album, Sun Midnight Sun, released last month on Nonesuch Records, and her self-titled Nonesuch debut album.

Jackson Browne makes a special guest appearance on Sun Midnight Sun, contributing harmony vocals on a number of track, as do Fiona Apple, Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Benmont Tench, and Sean Watkins. The album, produced by Blake Mills, includes songs written by Watkins, several collaborations with Mills, songs by Dan Wilson and Willie Nelson, and a rendition of The Everly Brothers classic “You’re the One I Love,” a duet with Fiona Apple. To pick up a copy, head to the Nonesuch Store, where CD orders include instant downloads of the album at checkout.

Highlights on the summer tour include concerts at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville; Filene Center at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia; the Beacon Theatre in New York City; and Cain Park in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. The fall leg runs through mid-November, with dates that span from Virginia to Colorado with several stops in between. Fall tour highlights include concerts at Milwaukee's Riverside Theater, the Chicago Theatre, and the Paramount Theater in Denver. Jackson Browne will be donating $1 from each ticket sold on the U.S. Acoustic Tour to charity. Tickets are on-sale now for the summer tour; pre-sales for the fall tour begin this week.

Even before the launch of the Jackson Browne tour, Sara Watkins has several noteworthy performances ahead, including a Watkins Family Hour show and an album release show, both at Largo in Los Angeles, and a return performance on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor, broadcast from the Hollywood Bowl. See below for all of Watkins' currently scheduled tour dates. For details, go to nonesuch.com/on-tour.
