After releasing her debut solo album last week, Sara Watkins took to the road for the start of a monthlong tour in support of the new record. She played three nights through the South with Old Crow Medicine Show last week and weekend, including a Friday night set at Atlanta's Fox Theatre, where the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Shane Harrison describes her as a "bluegrass-influenced player with little regard for genre pigeonholes." Tonight, she'll share that unbounded music with a national audience when she performs on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

On tonight's show, Jimmy's first after a week's vacation, Sara will be joined by the album's producer, Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, and her brother Sean in performing "Long Hot Summer Days," written by John Hartford, off the new, self-titled album. Look for support to come from Jimmy's house band, The Roots, as well.

The tour continues on Wednesday with the first of two nights at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota. For more tour dates, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

To hear from Sara and John Paul Jones on the making of the new record, there's a new video interview now at nonesuch.com/media in which Sara discusses the transition from being one third of the band Nickel Creek to branching out on her own, and Jones weighs in on his involvement as well, helming a stellar line-up of guest artists. The video includes behind-the-scenes photos from the studio and songs from the new record.
