Shawn Colvin's new Live album is due out next week. To celebrate, Nonesuch has teamed up with Martin Guitar to offer a brand-new X-Series guitar, signed by Shawn; three runners-up will win a free, signed copy of the CD. All orders of the album in the Nonesuch Store placed by July 21 (including previously placed orders) are registered to win and include, along with the album MP3s, the exclusive bonus download "Another Long One." The Detroit Free Press gives the album four stars, calling it "an intimate, career-spanning solo recording."

Nonesuch to Release Shawn Colvin's New "Live" Album June 23
Nonesuch will release its second album by Grammy Award–winning singer/songwriter/guitarist Shawn Colvin, Live, on June 23, 2009. Recorded in 2008 during a special three night solo engagement at San Francisco’s famous jazz club Yoshi’s, Live includes 12 songs written or co-written by Colvin, as well as covers of songs by Robbie Robertson, Gnarls Barkley, and the Talking Heads. The record was co-produced by Colvin and longtime collaborator John Leventhal.

Three Girls and Their Buddy, the popular series of concert featuring Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, and Buddy Miller, has just announced a spring and summer leg of its tour and have launched a special pre-sale for tickets that will allow fans to both order early and automatically be entered to win a chance to meet and greet the stars of the artists. Pre-sale customers will also have a chance to purchase a limited-edition tour poster, autographed by the artists.

Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin Kick Off Tour with Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller
Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, and Buddy Miller begin a month-long run of their rollicking Three Girls and Their Buddy tour tonight with the first of two consecutive nights at The Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia. The tour concludes at the end of the month in Boston, where the Boston Globe says the show "brings together four shining talents and close collaborators who straddle the country-folk-pop axis ... on the road en masse to perform as a foursome, four venerated song catalogs in tow."

Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin Kick Off Tour with Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller
Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, and Buddy Miller kicked off the "Three Girls and Their Buddy" tour last week and take the show to Virginia tonight for a stop at the Roanoke Performing Arts Center. This special quartet will be on the road all month, taking to the stage together and taking turns playing.
