The Black Keys were on CBS This Morning. They spoke with host Anthony Mason about their new album, "Let's Rock," what lies ahead as the band tours this fall, and more. "I love this album," says Mason. "I think it's great. It's so good to have them back." Watch the interview here. In a feature profile on the band, the New York Times' Jon Pareles writes: "In an era of blatantly computerized pop, 'Let’s Rock' flaunts basics from yesteryear: guitars, drums, vocals."

The Black Keys' ninth studio album, "Let's Rock," will be released June 28, 2019, via Easy Eye Sound / Nonesuch Records. The long-awaited album, the band's first in five years, is a return to the straightforward rock of the singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney's early days as a band. "When we're together we are The Black Keys, that's where that real magic is," says Auerbach, "and always has been since we were sixteen." "The record is like an homage to electric guitar," says Carney. "We took a simple approach and trimmed all the fat like we used to." The second song from the record, "Eagle Birds," debuts today; it follows the previously released single "Lo/Hi." The Black Keys' North American tour begins September 23.

Due to a serious shoulder injury to Patrick Carney, The Black Keys’ forthcoming concerts in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, part of their Turn Blue World Tour, have been cancelled up until April 23. Regrettably, due to prior scheduled commitments, efforts to reschedule the original dates were unsuccessful; therefore all tickets (outside of Bluesfest Byron Bay) will be refunded at their point of purchase. At this time, it is not expected that any dates after April 23 will be cancelled.
