The Low Anthem has just added another date to their rapidly growing fall/winter tour calendar: the band will open for Iron & Wine at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on January 26.

Before then, the quartet joins fellow Nonesuch artist Emmylou Harris at the Byham Theater in Pittsburgh tomorrow to launch their tour of the US East Coast. The Low Anthem will open for Harris through their November 21 show at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina, with stops along the way in Buffalo and Albany, New York; Northampton, Massachusetts; Montclair, New Jersey; Wilmington, Delaware; Roanoke and Charlottesville, Virginia; and Frederick, Maryland.

After Thanksgiving, The Low Anthem will return to the road to tour with another label mate, the Carolina Chocolate Drops, for six dates over one week in December. That tour will begin December 4 at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, followed by stops in Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee, before heading to the Chocolate Drops' home state of North Carolina for shows in Asheville, Charlotte, and Raleigh.

Both bands have been chosen to play solo sets at the Allen Room in New York City as part of Lincoln Center's acclaimed American Songbook series, with The Low Anthem taking to the stage on January 13 and the Chocolate Drops on February 2.

Look for The Low Anthem to perform songs from their anticipated new album (due out early 2011 on Nonesuch Records) on tour. For a short peek behind the scenes of the new album, visit lowanthem.com.
