Watch: Carolina Chocolate Drops Perform "Pretty Little Girl" with The Chieftains on "Later ... with Jools Holland"

Carolina Chocolate Drops joined The Chieftains for a performance on Later ... with Jools Holland on BBC Two last night, marking the legendary Irish band's 50th anniversary and the UK release of its new album, Voice of Ages (Hear Music/Decca), on which Carolina Chocolate Drops perform "Pretty Little Girl" with The Chieftains. The two bands performed the song together live on the Later. You can watch the performance below.

Fans in the UK can tune in to BBC Two this Friday at 23:05, for the full, one-hour episode of Later, featuring an encore broadcast of this performance as well as a performance from the Chocolate Drops of the song "No Man's Mama" off of their own new album, Leaving Eden, released earlier this year on Nonesuch Records. Also on this week's shows are Jack White, Norah Jones, Alabama Shakes, and Grimes.

Carolina Chocolate Drops return to the States for two shows in New Orleans—at The Temple on Friday night and at the New Orleans Jazz Fest on Saturday—and resume their US headlining tour with shows in Minneapolis, Madison, and Chicago next week, followed by three stops in Virginia.
