Carolina Chocolate Drops joined The Chieftains for a performance on Later ... with Jools Holland on BBC Two last night, marking the legendary Irish band's 50th anniversary and the UK release of its new album, Voice of Ages, on which Carolina Chocolate Drops perform "Pretty Little Girl" with The Chieftains. The two bands performed the song together live on the Later. Watch it here. Then tune in to Later on Friday for a song from the Chocolate Drops' new album, Leaving Eden. The band resumes its US tour in New Orleans this weekend.

Fans in the UK can tune in to BBC Two this Friday at 23:05, for the full, one-hour episode of Later, featuring an encore broadcast of this performance as well as a performance from the Chocolate Drops of the song "No Man's Mama" off of their own new album, Leaving Eden, released earlier this year on Nonesuch Records. Also on this week's shows are Jack White, Norah Jones, Alabama Shakes, and Grimes.

Carolina Chocolate Drops return to the States for two shows in New Orleans—at The Temple on Friday night and at the New Orleans Jazz Fest on Saturday—and resume their US headlining tour with shows in Minneapolis, Madison, and Chicago next week, followed by three stops in Virginia.     The Black Keys have secured the No. 1 Current Rock Album and No. 1 Current Alternative Album in US sales following the release of their new album, Ohio Players, last week. The album also is the highest debut of the week on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums Chart and Top Alternative Albums Chart, at No. 5 on both charts, and has reached No. 4 on Overall Current Album sales and No. 26 on the Billboard 200. Internationally, Ohio Players is the band’s sixth consecutive top 20 album in the UK, as well as top 20 in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, and Switzerland, among others.
