    Watch Chris Thile, Michael Daves "Sleep with One Eye Open" Video on Facebook

    Sleep with One Eye Open, the debut album from mandolin-virtuoso Chris Thile and guitar maven Michael Daves, is due out on Nonesuch Records on May 10, and is now available for pre-order in the Nonesuch Store. Recorded at Jack White’s studio in Nashville, the album is a collection of 16 traditional tunes by bluegrass legends like The Monroe Brothers, The Louvin Brothers, Jimmy Martin, and Flatt & Scruggs. Thile and Daves recently performed a number of songs from the album at Rockwood Music Hall in New York City, where they kick off their East Coast tour next month. Check out their performance of the title track, Lester Flatt's "Sleep with One Eye Open," in a new video posted to their Facebook page, facebook.com/thiledaves. It's the first in a series of performance videos that will be unveiled in the coming weeks leading up to the album's release, so become a fan of the page and check back regularly for more to come.

    Conor Oberst has shared the music video for "Till St. Dymphna Kicks Us Out," from his forthcoming album, Salutations. The video, directed by Greg Marinaccio, was filmed at the very same bar in Manhattan's East Village that inspired the song. You can watch it here and download the track (and three others) now when you pre-order Salutations. Oberst, with The Felice Brothers as his backing band, will tour in support of Salutations beginning March 9 in his hometown of Omaha, including several just-announced new dates.
