Conor Oberst, while on tour for his Nonesuch Records debut album, Upside Down Mountain, performed at the House of Blues in Boston this past June. The WGBH program Front Row Boston was there to capture the event. You can now watch the full set, including several songs from Upside Down Mountain, Bright Eyes tunes, and more, here. Oberst tours the West Coast with M. Ward and The Felice Brothers this fall.

Conor Oberst, as part of the North American tour featuring music from his 2014 Nonesuch Records debut album, Upside Down Mountain, performed at the House of Blues in Boston this past June. The WGBH program Front Row Boston was there to capture the event. You can now watch Oberst and the band, including Nathaniel Walcott, who performs on the album, on keyboards and trumpet; Pat Oakes on drums; and Larkin Poe sisters Rebecca Lovell (mandolin, guitar, and vocals) and Megan Lovell (lap steel and vocals). The set includes several songs from Upside Down Mountain—"Time Forgot," "Hundreds of Ways," "Zigzagging Toward the Light," "Enola Gay," "Artifact #1," "Double Life," and "Governor's Ball"—as well as favorite Bright Eyes tunes and more.     The original cast album of Adam Guettel’s Broadway musical Days of Wine and Roses, with a book by Craig Lucas, starring Kelli O’Hara and Brian d’Arcy James, will be released on CD on May 17, following its recent digital release.  “Repeated listenings compound the amazement,” the New York Times says of Guettel’s work, which “has always offered that kind of challenge—initially leaving a feeling of: Beautiful, but wait, I need to hear it again—and those up for it have a way of coming away shining like Moses down from the Mount.     Cécile McLorin Salvant's acclaimed 2023 album, Mélusine, was released one year ago this week. To mark the occasion, we're sharing live performances of four songs from the album made at Oberlin College and Conservatory, starting with "Dites moi que je suis belle," featuring Weedie Braimah on djembe, followed by "Le temps est assassin" with Sullivan Fortner on piano and "Fenestra" and "Dame Iseut" with both Fortner and Braimah.
