Wilco Reveals New Details of Summer's Solid Sound Festival Lineup
Tune in to The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson tonight on CBS to see Wilco perform "Deeper Down" off Wilco (the album). The band has just announced a diverse array of musical guests for the line up of its first Solid Sound Festival, a three-day event to be held at MASS MoCA, August 13–15, in North Adams, Massachusetts. In addition to performances by the band and its members, the festival will feature Avi Buffalo, Vetiver, Sir Richard Bishop, Mountain Man, Brenda, The Books, Deep Blue Organ Trio, and legendary puppet theater company Bread and Puppet.

Wilco Launches Tour of Japan, New Zealand, and Australia After "Slam-Bang Finish" to US Tour (Post-Gazette)
Wilco begins a two-week tour of Japan, New Zealand, and Australia with a set at the Big Cat in Osaka tonight. All five shows in Australia feature an opening set from Liam Finn. The latest tour begins less than two weeks after what the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette called the "slam-bang finish" of the band's fully sold-out US tour in Pittsburgh.

Nonesuch Artists Join in for Record Store Day with In-Store Events, New Vinyl Releases
Record Store Day, the annual celebration of indie record stores across the US and around the world, returns this Saturday, April 17. Nonesuch artists will be well represented this year, with in-store performances and/or new vinyl from Laurie Anderson, The Black Keys, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Emmylou Harris, and Wilco.

Wilco Launches Solid Sound Festival at MASS MoCA August 13-15
Wilco has announced the launch of the Solid Sound Festival, a new festival the band will curate, August 13-15, at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), featuring music, art, comedy, interactivity, and more. Wilco headlines the weekend, in the band's only East Coast performance of the summer. The festival also presents individual performances by all the Wilco members' side projects.

Wilco to Live Webcast Two Shows from Sold-Out US Tour
Wilco's current tour, An Evening with Wilco, may be fully sold-out, but that doesn't mean you'll have to go without. Tune in to the band site for live webcasts of Tuesday's show from Boston and Wednesday's show from Concord, New Hampshire. Relix described the tour opener as "a spirited rock-and-roll blowout." You can also enjoy Wilco live via the forthcoming vinyl release of Kicking Television: Live in Chicago.

Wilco Kicks Off Tour in Miami; "Kicking Television" Vinyl Box Set Due Out April 17
Wilco begins its 16-concert run of Eastern US cities at The Filmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater tonight. The concerts, presented as An Evening with Wilco, will feature extended, varied sets exploring material from each of the sextet’s seven studio albums. You can relive the live experience with the 2005 live album Kicking Television in a new deluxe, four-LP box set, due out April 17 and now available for pre-order in the Nonesuch Store.

As Wilco's TransCanada Tour Comes to a Close, Band Adds UK Dates in September
As the world's Olympic athletes bid farewell to Canada, Wilco too will soon say adieu as the band's TransCanada Tour concludes this week. The next leg of the tour begins soon, and new dates have just been added to the European tour in September. Before then, Glenn Kotche will join Mario Batali for an event to benefit eighth blackbird. And a song from Wilco's 2009 tour stop at Bonnaroo is available for free with your support of the current climate change bill.

Wilco Continues Across Canada, Following Sold-Out Sets in the Midwest
Wilco's Trans-Canada tour, a.k.a. the Tundra Tour, is under way with a performance in Hamilton, Ontario, tonight, and is being marked with the poster at left. The band has also added five tour dates in Germany this September. Last weekend's trio of sold-out sets in the Midwest included Wilco's being named an honorary Duluth band by the city's mayor and a show in Madison that The A.V. Club says confirmed: "This version of Wilco is simply the most reliable working rock band we have today."

Wilco to Stream Live Webcast from Sold-Out Show in Madison Saturday Night
Wilco will stream a live webcast from its sold-out show at Overture Hall in Madison, Wisconsin, Saturday night at 8:30 PM CST. The band is in Duluth, Minnesota, tonight, and East Lansing, Michigan, on Sunday. The Lansing State Journal says, "Fifteen years and seven albums since getting together, Wilco's music still sounds edgy and alive." The documentary Ashes of American Flags is showing at the Screenland Armour in Kansas City, Missouri.

Rolling Stone: Wilco Proves to Be a "Well-Oiled Rock Machine" on Tour
Wilco began its 2010 world tour this week, stopping in Portland Tuesday for a sold-out set where, says Rolling Stone, the band proved a "well-oiled rock machine." The Oregonian called it an "intense, beautiful, playful ... moving performance," concluding: "Wilco's a great band that played a great show." Seattle Weekly says that at last night's Seattle show, the band "somehow made the sold-out Paramount even more golden for two straight hours."
