The Low Anthem at the 2011 Clearwater Festival
The Low Anthem performed at Clearwater's Great Hudson River Revival in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, on June 18, 2011. Inspired by Pete Seeger’s desire to clean up the river over 40 years ago, the Great Hudson River Revival initially helped raise the funds to build the sloop Clearwater and today supports the non-profit Hudson River Sloop Clearwater in its numerous educational programs and its work toward environmental and social justice, as well as keeping the Clearwater afloat.

Telluride Bluegrass Festival 2011
The 38th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival took place June 16-19, 2011, set 8,750 feet up in bucolic Telluride, Colorado. Making music in various combinations were Chris Thile & Michael Daves, Emmylou Harris, Punch Brothers, and Sara Watkins. Just some of the impromptu pairings pictured here include Thile and fellow Punch Brother Noam Pikelny with Béla Fleck; Nickel Creek band mates Thile and Watkins; Watkins and Punch Brothers' Chris Eldridge; Pikelny in a pick-off with Watkins and The Decemberists; and Harris with Old Crow Medicine Show.

Emmylou Harris, Jessica Lea Mayfield at SXSW 2011 Warner Bros. Party
Emmylou Harris and Jessica Lea Mayfield each performed a number of sets and showcases at the 2011 SXSW Music Conference in Austin, Texas. The New York Times said of Harris's performance of songs from her new album, Hard Bargain: "One hearing was enough to gather the songs’ grown-up, unsentimental kindness of spirit." SPIN named Mayfield, who performed songs from her album Tell Me, the festival's "Best Rising Star Poised for Cross-Over Success." Wanda Jackson at 2011 SXSW: Rachael Ray Feedback
Wanda Jackson performed songs off her album The Party Ain't Over and from throughout her storied career at Rachael Ray's Feedback party on the closing day of the 2011 SXSW Music Conference, March 19, 2011. Ray describes the event, held at Stubb's BBQ in Austin, as "a mash-up of everything I love: actual friends and family, food, and great music." Reverb says: "Wanda Jackson effortlessly defended her legendary status."
