The Magnetic Fields: "Realism"—"Sincerity Is an Odd Duck"
The Magnetic Fields' Stephin Merritt and Claudia Gonson examine the oft-pondered notion of fact vs. fiction in Stephin's lyrics, and how that has been affected (or not) by the folk-inspired production on Realism.
Stephin, I love you, and you too Claudia, but Stephin, you could always
write lyrics about what you're just saying, that you think it's ridiculous to try
to be sincere writting songs, and then that would be sincere,
