  • On Dakar-based N’Dour’s Nonesuch debut, he “presides over gleaming, intelligent, unabashedly global pop,” says the New York Times. “There are hip-hop drum loops, guitar power chords and brooding trip-hop synthesizers,” along with Senegalese instrumentation and a guest-star performance by Peter Gabriel.
