Lake Street Dive was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform "Same Old News," from the album, Obviously; you can watch the performance here. As Lake Street Dive's June concerts in upstate New York and New Haven will be Mike "McDuck" Olson's last shows with the band, these special dates will stream live via Mandolin. The band also has several shows this summer, including newly announced dates at SummerStage in NYC and Ravinia outside Chicago.

Lake Street Dive, whose new album, Obviously, recently topped the Non-Commercial / Public Radio chart, could be heard in sessions for three such stations this past week. For The Current, 89.3FM out of Minneapolis/St. Paul, the band performed three songs from the new album, and Rachael Price and Akie Bermiss spoke with host Bill DeVille about the album and some tour bus memories. For WYCE in Grand Rapids the band performed two songs, and Mike Calabrese and Mike "McDuck" Olson spoke with WYCE music director Shane German. The band performed three songs from the new album: "Hypotheticals," "Nobody's Stopping You Now," and "Being a Woman." You can watch all three here.

Lake Street Dive's new album, Obviously, is out now on Nonesuch Records. In celebration of the new record, the group performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night, which you can watch here, and will perform on CBS This Morning: Saturday Sessions tomorrow. Obviously was produced by Grammy Award winner Mike Elizondo, a songwriting collaborator for Dr. Dre, Eminem, and 50 Cent and record producer for Fiona Apple and Mary J. Blige, among others. "You need to make this band part of your life," exclaims the AP. "Lake Street Dive have never sounded better, full and clear with every instrument given a chance to shine in every song."

Lake Street Dive has released an official music video for "Hypotheticals," from the band's new album, Obviously, out tomorrow. Lake Street Dive bassist Bridget Kearney spoke with NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday about "Being a Woman," the newly released song she wrote for the band's upcoming album, Obviously, out this Friday. "This song is personal," Kearney tells NPR. "I'm 35 years old, and I think that I came to identify as a feminist sort of later in life. It was something that I was somewhat resistant towards because I didn't want to think that my identity was something that was disempowered. So I was trying to pretend that these issues didn't exist and then eventually realized that that wasn't helpful. So, writing this song and putting it out is, I think, kind of adding my voice to that chorus of the women that came before me who were shouting, 'Things need to change.'"

In anticipation of International Women’s Day, Lake Street Dive has released "Being a Woman," the latest track from their new album, Obviously, out next week. Written by the band’s bassist Bridget Kearney, the track speaks to gender inequality and the societal discrimination women face on a daily basis. "Happy Women’s History Month! This one goes out to all of the hard-working women of the world,” says Kearney. “We are thankful to the many voices that came before us shouting for gender equality, without whom we may never have had this microphone in which to say, ‘It's not fixed yet!’ With this song, we humbly add our voices to that chorus." The band will perform on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on March 11 and CBS This Morning: Saturday Sessions on March 13.
