    Rachael & Vilray were musical guests on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night. The duo was joined by Jon Batiste and Stay Human to perform "At Your Mother's House" from their self-titled debut album. They also gave a web-exclusive performance of the album track "Do Friends Fall in Love?" with Batiste, who performs on the album as well. You can watch both here.

    David Byrne was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on NBC this weekend, with host John Mulaney. Byrne performed Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime" and his 2008 tune with Fatboy Slim, "Toe Jam," two songs featured in David Byrne's American Utopia on Broadway, with musicians from that production.     Rhiannon Giddens and Francesco Turrisi were on RTÉ One’s Tommy Tiernan Show in Ireland on Saturday to perform "Wayfaring Stranger." You can watch it here. The song is on their album there is no Other, which they recorded in Dublin. They return to Dublin to give a concert at Vicar Street in July, after a residency at SFJAZZ; touring Australia, New Zealand, and Japan; Giddens' receiving an honorary degree from UNC Greensboro; and performances of her opera Omar at Spoleto Festival.

    David Byrne will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on February 29, with host John Mulaney. Byrne will perform songs from his American Utopia on Broadway, making for a very Happy Leap Day indeed. This is his first Saturday Night Live appearance since 1989, after a ten-year gap since his 1979 appearance on the show with Talking Heads.

    David Byrne was on the CNN / PBS program Amanpour & Co. to talk with host Christiane Amanpour about his show American Utopia on Broadway. "As fate would have it, I was unable to watch the State of the Union address live," says Amanpour, "but for a very good reason as I was preparing for my next interview at a Broadway show which, as it happens, is a wonderful antidote to toxic and partisan politics.     Yola was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night, performing "I Don't Wanna Lie," from the deluxe digital edition of her debut album, Walk Through Fire. You can watch it here. She heads to Los Angeles for the Grammys, performing at the MusiCares Person of the Year tribute to Aerosmith on Friday, the AmericanaFest Pre-Grammy Salute to Willie Nelson on Saturday, and the Grammy Premiere Ceremony on Sunday afternoon. Yola has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist.

    Austin City Limits announced the Yola will be the first taping of its Season 46, making her ACL debut on February 4. She'll perform songs from her album Walk Through Fire, which is up for four Grammy Awards this month. The episode will air this fall on PBS. Yola's tour heads to Boston, Brooklyn, DC, and Philadelphia this week and continues through the month, including a performance at the MusiCares Person of the Year concert Grammy weekend. She will perform at Bonnaroo in June.
