Congratulations to the cast and crew of the film Boyhood, which won three BAFTA Film Awards, presented by the British Academy at a ceremony in London tonight, broadcast live by the BBC: Best Film; Best Director for Richard Linklater; and Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette, the same three categories in which the film won at the Golden Globes.

Shot over 12 years with the same cast, Boyhood is a groundbreaking story of growing up as seen through the eyes of a child named Mason (Ellar Coltrane), who literally grows up on screen before the viewers’ eyes. The film’s soundtrack spans the story’s 12 years, with songs ranging from the year 2000 (Coldplay’s “Yellow” and The Hives’ “Hate to Say I Told You So”) to 2013 (Yo La Tengo’s “I’ll Be Around”). The album also includes the classic “Band on the Run,” by Paul McCartney and Wings and a new song written by Jeff Tweedy and performed by the father/son duo Tweedy, “Summer Noon.”

To pick up a copy of the Boyhood soundtrack, head to iTunes, Amazon, and the Nonesuch Store, where CD orders include a download of the complete album at checkout.

Boyhood has been nominated for six Academy Awards: Best Picture; Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Linklater; Best Supporting Actress for Arquette; Best Supporting Actor for Ethan Hawke; and Best Editing for Sandra Adair. The Academy Award ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC on "Oscar Sunday," February 22, starting at 7 PM ET, and hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
