Returning from a series of tour dates in Canada, the Black Keys head to Chicago, IL to take part in the annual Lollapalooza festival in Grant Park, performing tonight on the Budweiser Stage. The band remains in Chicago on Saturday, resuming their tour with the Morning Benders with a sold-out set at the Metro. The Keys then travel to De Moines, IA for a Sunday night performance at the Val Air Ballroom, and will continue to tour the midwest throughout the following week. After a brief break, the tour will resume in early September with a series of performances on the east coast, which includes several dates with Kings of Leon.

The band, whose video for "Tighten Up," from Brothers, was nominated for an MTV VMA, was also recently featured in Premier Guitar magazine. To learn more about the gear they use, and read the interview, visit premierguitar.com.

The Carolina Chocolate Drops bring their tour of Europe to an end this weekend with two festival appearances. They participate today in the Notodden Blues Festival in Notodden, Norway, performing two early afternoon sets. They first perform at Europas Bluessenter/Talkin' Blues, and follow up with a set on the Folk & Blues Stage. On Sunday, the group travels to Dranouter, Belgium, to close out their European tour with a performance at the Dranouter Folk Festival, appearing at the Club. The Drops will return to the States for more North American tour dates at the end of August.

Christina Courtin performs a free concert on Saturday with Mike Doughty at Discovery Park in Freeport, ME as part of the L.L. Bean-sponsored Summer in the Park series of events. Courtin remains in Maine for a Sunday perfomance at the Strand Theatre in Rockland, again supporting Doughty.

Richard Goode appears tonight with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood's Koussevitzky Music Shed in Lenox, MA, where the ensemble will be performing the works of Mendelssohn, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky under conductor Christoph von Dohnányi.

Gidon Kremer ends his stint in Italy with a performance tonight at the Alexander Girardi Hall in Cortina d'Ampezzo with fellow chamber musicians Khatia Buniatishvili and Giedre Dirvanauskaite. On Sunday, Kremer performs in Schwerin, Germany at the Schelfkirche, again accompanied by Buniatishvili and Dirvanauskaite.

Kronos Quartet perfoms Sunday with fellow contemporary music ensemble eighth blackbird in the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium in Santa Cruz, CA as part of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music.

For their final North American tour date before heading to Europe, the Low Anthem performs in Albany, VT at the 8th Annual Northeast Kingdom Music Festival, where they will appear at the Chilly Ranch. The band will kick off their European tour on Tuesday in Denmark, and will tour Europe through the rest of August and early September.

Natalie Merchant continues her headlining tour, moving on the west coast with a performance tonight at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, WA. On Saturday, Merchant performs in Portland, OR at the Maryhill Winery & Amphitheater, and will continue to tour throughout the west coast next week.

The Punch Brothers are heavily featured at this weekend's Pickathon 2010 festival at Pendarvis Farm in Portland, OR, performing three sets over Friday and Saturday. The group appears tonight on the Woods Stage, and performs twice on Saturday, with a late-afternoon set at the Workshop Barn and a nighttime show on the Mt. View Stage.

Allen Toussaint headlines a Sunday performance at the Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, UT alongside fellow New Orleans artists the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, and Orleans Avenue.
