Dirty Projectors' David Longstreth performs at the Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here rally with Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at Gloria Molina Grand Park in Los Angeles on Saturday, along with fellow special musical guests Neil Young, Maggie Rogers, Joan Baez, and others; doors open at 9am PT. Longstreth’s Song of the Earth, performed with Dirty Projectors and the Berlin-based chamber orchestra s t a r g a z e, is out now. Guitarist Mary Halvorson and pianist Sylvie Courvoisier conclude their European tour on the Cully Jazz Festival’s Temple Stage in Cully, Switzerland, on Saturday. Halvorson’s new album, About Ghosts, is due June 13, on Nonesuch Records. The album, produced by John Dieterich, features eight new compositions by Halvorson, performed with her sextet Amaryllis, the improvisatory band featured on her critically praised albums Amaryllis, Belladonna, and Cloudward: Patricia Brennan (vibraphone), Nick Dunston (bass), Tomas Fujiwara (drums), Jacob Garchik (trombone), and Adam O’Farrill (trumpet). Saxophonists Immanuel Wilkins and Brian Settles join the ensemble on five tunes, and Halvorson adds Pocket Piano synthesizer overdubs on a number of tracks. Pianist Brad Mehldau, bassist Christian McBride, and drummer Marcus Gilmore continue their three-week US tour at the Wortham Theater Center’s Cullen Theater in Houston, tonight, the Old National Centre in Indianapolis on Saturday, and at the Chenery Auditorium in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on Sunday.

Mandy Patinkin is joined by opera singer Nathan Gunn at University of Notre Dame’s Debartolo Performing Arts Center’s Leighton Concert Hall in Notre Dame, Indiana, tonight. The duo performs over two dozen songs including solos and duets, accompanied by Julie Jordan Gunn and pianist Adam Ben-David.

Chris Thile and his fellow Punch Brothers—fiddler Brittany Haas, banjoist Noam Pikelny, guitarist Chris Eldridge, and bassist Paul Kowert—lead the live taping of the second season finale of their musical variety show The Energy Curfew Music Hour at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theater in New York City tonight, joined by special guests Andrew Bird and Nate Smith. All six nights of the concert series have been recorded for future release as an Audible Original. Season 1 of The Energy Curfew Music Hour is available to listen to here, and features musical guests like Kacey Musgraves, Jason Isbell, Jon Batiste, Norah Jones, James Taylor, Lake Street Dive, Gaby Moreno, yMusic, and others.

Molly Tuttle is at the Opry House in Nashville on Sunday for the Grand Ole Opry’s Titan of Twang: A Celebration of Duane Eddy, hosted by Jim Lauderdale, along with Peter Frampton, Vince Gill, Albert Lee, and many more. Across town in Nashville, Tuttle and her band Golden Highway are featured in the latest installment of American Currents: State of the Music, the annual exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum showcasing country music and its place in American culture over the past year, which is open through January 2026.
