Paul Thomas Anderson's Academy Award–winning film Phantom Thread, starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Lesley Manville, and Vicky Krieps, will receive its HBO premiere on Saturday, September 29, and will be available to watch via the HBO GO and HBO NOW apps. The Guardian says there is "such pure delicious pleasure in this film"; Financial Times says Anderson "gets everything right here." The soundtrack, featuring Jonny Greenwood's Oscar-nominated score, is out on Nonesuch.

Paul Thomas Anderson's Academy Award–winning film Phantom Thread will receive its HBO premiere this Saturday, September 29, at 8pm, and will be available to watch via the HBO GO and HBO NOW apps. The film is set in the glamour of 1950s post-war London and stars Daniel Day-Lewis as renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock, Lesley Manville as his sister Cyril, and Vicky Krieps as Alma, Woodcock's muse and lover. The Guardian says there is "such pure delicious pleasure in this film"; Financial Times says Anderson "gets everything right here." The film is also available on Blu-Ray and DVD, iTunes, Amazon Video, and other digital services.

The Phantom Thread soundtrack, featuring Jonny Greenwood's Oscar-nominated score, is available from Nonesuch Records. IndieWire calls the score "a masterpiece," naming it the year's best, and one of the century's best as well. The vinyl edition contains two 140-gram LPs and a 24-page special booklet with Greenwood's score. To pick up a copy of the album, head to iTunes and the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include a download of the complete album at checkout; the album can also be heard on Spotify and Apple Music.

    Dan Auerbach will make his directorial debut in a documentary feature about Dr. John, aka Mac Rebennack. RadicalMedia has announced its partnership with Auerbach for the project, which will tell a story about the storied musician and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who died in 2019, and his impact in music and on the culture. Auerbach, who produced Dr. John's 2012 Grammy-winning Nonesuch album, Locked Down, says: "I’m still learning bits about him that I never knew, and I hope the movie provides a lens into the story of the life of Dr. John."
