Cinematic electro-pop duo Ringdown, featuring Danni Lee Parpan and Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award winner Caroline Shaw, will celebrate this year's release of their debut album, Lady on the Bike, on Nonesuch with performances across the US starting this fall. In addition to their own headlining shows, Ringdown will open for Tune-Yards for a string of shows that end at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on October 9, and perform a handful of collaborative sets with Sō Percussion, including a stop at the 2026 Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN.
“We are beyond excited to open for Tune-Yards again,” Ringdown said about their upcoming tour dates. “Their audiences are the best! Getting to make music for the people who worship Merrill and Nate as much as we do feels like swimming with electric blue dolphins in the rainbow-hued world of a Lisa Frank folder.”
Ringdown’s album Lady on the Bike was released in May and celebrates the feeling of possibility in myriad forms: the possibility of love; the possibility of creating connection in a world trying to pull those things apart; the possibility of making music in new ways. The album features indie electro-pop group New Body Electric on the track “Emotional Absentee,” whose band members Leah Vautar and Aaron K Peterson helped produce several songs on the album, as well as Sō Percussion performing on a new version of Ringdown’s previously released single “Ghost.” Ringdown performed on Sō and Shaw’s Grammy-winning album Rectangles and Circumstance, and the groups have been playing together in collaborative concerts since last year.

The band is excited to return to the Big Ears festival with Sō Percussion next year; Lady on the Bike takes its name from a moment of connection they experienced during their Big Ears performance debut in 2024, when a lady on a bike shared that she discovered one of Ringdown’s hidden handmade vinyl covers, a reminder of the community and joy at the heart of their music.
