While many of us can't go out to take in great live music, here are some events taking place online to enjoy while staying home this weekend: Sam Amidon plays in Dublin's National Concert Hall marathon livestream; Devendra Banhart performs in Planned Parenthood benefit; Tyondai Braxton contributes to Semibreve festival online; Jeremy Denk gives a recital from Caramoor; k.d. lang takes part in The 519 Community Centre virtual gala; Gaby Moreno leads an Acoustic Festival on Facebook; and Chris Thile launches his masterclass series. Off line and in person, Brad Mehldau tours Europe, and Laurie Anderson leads a NYC voter activation parade with RuckUS.

Sam Amidon, whose new album is out today, performs at National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland, on Sunday as part of the hall's two-day Tradition Now marathon livestream of contemporary traditional music. Tickets are available here.

Devendra Banhart performs as part of the Village of Love Planned Parenthood Online Benefit from 9pm ET on Sunday. Also performing are Angel Olsen, Bright Eyes, Brittany Howard, Ezra Furman, Kathleen Hanna, Margo Price, Perfume Genius, Phoebe Bridgers, Rodrigo Amarante, Tenacious D, and more. The event also includes a raffle, art auction, dance party, and more.

Tyondai Braxton contributes a commissioned sound piece to Semibreve electronic music and digital art festival, which is taking place both online and in person from Monastery of São Martinho de Tibães in Braga, Portugal, Saturday at 4:30pm WET.

Pianist Jeremy Denk gives a recital streaming live from Caramoor in Katonah, New York, Sunday at 3pm ET. On the program is Beethoven’s final piano sonata, Op. 111, which he performs on his albums c. 1300–c. 2000 and Ligeti/Beethoven, and works by Mozart, Thomas “Blind Tom” Wiggins, Scott Joplin, Tania León, and Frederic Rzewski.

k.d. lang takes part in The 519 Community Centre virtual gala on Sunday from 7:30pm ET, joining Buffy Sainte-Marie, Alan Cumming, Patti LuPone, Ben Vereen, and others. Proceeds support the Toronto organization dedicated to advocacy for the inclusion of LGBTQ communities.

Gaby Moreno leads a Broadway-themed Acoustic Festival Saturday starting at 7:30pm ET on her Facebook page.

Chris Thile leads the first in a three-part series of Sunday masterclasses called Music is Life is Music, with a sessions titled Listening, this Sunday at 2pm ET. Upcoming sessions are titled Writing on November 1 and Performing on November 8. Tickets for the series are available here.

Thile also performs two shows off-line and in person at The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey, on Saturday.

Also taking place off-line and in person, Brad Mehldau performs in the Jazz Jamboree at Klub Stodoła in Warsaw, Poland, tonight, and at Kölner Philharmonie in Cologne, Germany.

Laurie Anderson leads a Manhattan voter activation parade and pop-up event with RuckUS, an artist-led activist group she helped create to get out the vote. The event begins at The Africa Center in Harlem at noon, heads to the New York Public Library, and culminates in Washington Square Park. In addition to Anderson, speakers include Laura Flanders, Masha Gessen, Nona Hendryx, Bill T. Jones, and others. At the same time in Brooklyn, a parallel event will start in Grand Army Plaza at noon, head to BRIC at Fulton and Rockwell Place, and arrive at Cadman Plaza around 4pm. Brooklyn speakers include Kurt Anderson, Councilman Carlos Menchaca, Siri Hustvedt, and Chavisa Woods.
