Of the song Sauser-Monnig says "'Fields of Gold' is a car song. It's about that beautiful sense of possibility you get when you're driving long distances and the facts of your life lift away enough to let you imagine parallel versions of your life playing out in all the unknown places you're moving through."
Dawnbreaker is due June 28 on Nonesuch Records and is available to pre-order on iTunes and the Nonesuch Store with an instant download of the title track, "Fields of Gold," "Shining Woman," and "Gem"; Nonesuch Store pre-orders also include an exclusive, limited-edition print created and signed by Sauser-Monnig.
