So Long Little Miss Sunshine, recorded in Nashville with producer Jay Joyce, marks a sonic departure from Molly Tuttle's recent work. The album of eleven originals and one cover (Icona Pop and Charli xcx’s “I Love It”) is a hybrid of pop, country, rock, and flat-picking, plus a murder ballad. Her virtuoso guitar work takes center stage on this album more than ever, and for the first time, she introduces her banjo playing into two of her recordings. The album has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Americana Album, and the album track album track "That's Gonna Leave a Mark" is up for Best Americana Performance. You can get the album and hear it here.

Molly Tuttle takes part in a GRAMMY Museum L.A. Live conversation and performance in Los Angeles on January 28 and performs in the Americanafest pre-GRAMMY Salute The Songs of Neil Young at the Troubadour on January 31. She kicks off a tour with Marty Stuart in Augusta, Georgia, on February 6, followed by shows in Alabama, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, then heads to Europe in March to join Tyler Childers on his tour. Robert Plant and Saving Grace will release a vinyl EP, Saving Grace: All That Glitters..., on Record Store Day, the annual celebration of independent record stores, taking place on Saturday, April 18. The record follows Plant's recent critically acclaimed album, Saving Grace; both feature singer Suzi Dian and a band of musicians from the English countryside that Plant calls home. The EP's four tracks, recently recorded especially for RSD, explore the folk and Americana songs that Plant and the band love: the traditional tunes "The Blackest Crow" and "Two Coats," arranged by Robert Plant and Saving Grace, as well as Gillian Welch's "Orphan Girl" and Bert Jansch's "Poison." Plant and the band resume their US tour in March.
