Yola was named among "the best things we saw" at Farm Aid 2019 by both Rolling Stone, noting "her powerhouse vocals," and Billboard, which reports of the festival's "breakthrough artist": "An imposing presence with a massive, gospel-fired voice, Yola held the midday crowd riveted with songs from her debut album Walk Through Fire." One such festival performance, of the song "It Ain't Easier," can be seen here. It has just been announced that she will perform at Holiday Cheer for FUV at the Beacon Theatre in NYC in December and at Chris Stapleton's benefit concert in Kentucky next April. Fittingly, Yola has been nominated as Live Act of the Year in the UK's Independent Festival Awards.

Yola was named among "the best things we saw" at Farm Aid 2019 by both Rolling Stone, noting "her powerhouse vocals," and Billboard, which reports of the festival's "breakthrough artist": "An imposing presence with a massive, gospel-fired voice, Yola held the midday crowd riveted with songs from her debut album Walk Through Fire." One such song performance, of the album track "It Ain't Easier," was captured at last month's event at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin, and can be seen below.

Two new audiences will get the chance to see this breakthrough star, as it has just been announced that she will perform at Holiday Cheer for FUV at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on December 10 to benefit WFUV, and at Chris Stapleton's concert at the University of Kentucky next April to benefit his charity Outlaw State of Kind Hometown Fund. Yola will be at the Austin City Limits festival this coming weekend. She leads a special conversation and performance at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on October 16 and is Kacey Musgraves' special guest in concert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on October 25. See below for details and visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Fittingly, it has also just been announced that Yola has been nominated as Live Act of the Year in the UK's Independent Festival Awards. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Sheffield on November 6.

To pick up a copy of Walk Through Fire, head to your local record store, iTunes, Amazon, the Easy Eye Sound Store, or the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include a download of the complete album at checkout. You can also hear the album now on Spotify and Apple Music.
