Polish composer Andrzej Panufnik conducts the Concertgebouw Orchestra and the New York Chamber Symphony in performances of two of his pieces. The New York Times praised the works’ “rhythmic vibrancy and anguished lyricism”, saying they “strike a balance between romantic fervor and compelling architecture.”
