Emmylou Harris, Jessica Lea Mayfield at SXSW 2011 Warner Bros. Party
Emmylou Harris and Jessica Lea Mayfield each performed a number of sets and showcases at the 2011 SXSW Music Conference in Austin, Texas. The New York Times said of Harris's performance of songs from her new album, Hard Bargain: "One hearing was enough to gather the songs’ grown-up, unsentimental kindness of spirit." SPIN named Mayfield, who performed songs from her album Tell Me, the festival's "Best Rising Star Poised for Cross-Over Success."
