Nonesuch Celebrates a Silver Anniversary
In the fall of 2009, Nonesuch marked 25 years under the leadership of Bob Hurwitz and equally long ties with Peter Clancy and David Bither. On November 15, the label’s musicians and other good friends from the artistic community gathered at New York's Cooper Square Hotel to celebrate. In attendance were John Adams, Laurie Anderson, Sérgio Assad, Patrick Carney, David Byrne, Christina Courtin, Richard Goode, Kronos Quartet, Pat Metheny, members of The Magnetic Fields, Mandy Patinkin, Steve Reich, Peter Sellars, Sara Watkins, and other special guests. The festivities continued two days later, when Nonesuch staff members past and present convened at Bob’s apartment along with some behind-the-scenes stars.
