Grammy Award–winning singer, songwriter, and guitarist Molly Tuttle has released a video for her take on Icona Pop & Charli xcx's song "I Love It," from her new album, So Long Little Miss Sunshine. The video was directed by Fletcher Moore.

Watch This VideoSinger, songwriter, and guitarist Molly Tuttle, whose new solo album, So Long Little Miss Sunshine, is out August 15 on Nonesuch, stopped by for the Nonesuch Selects video series, in which artists visit the Nonesuch office, pick some of their favorite albums from the music library, and share a few words on their choices. She chose recordings by Sam Amidon, Punch Brothers, Wilco, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Lake Street Dive, Yola, and Emmylou Harris.
Watch This Video“I’m excited for everyone to hear 'The Highway Knows,' because it’s one of my favorite songs on the new record," Molly Tuttle says of the new single from her upcoming album, So Long Little Miss Sunshine. "I had written the finger-picked guitar part that you hear in the chorus a few years ago, and finally last year, Ketch Secor and I dug up the voice memo of that guitar scrap and wrote words to it. This song is all about finding the person you want to journey through life with."

I was excited when she suggested we make a music video together that explores the heartbreaker character portrayed in ‘That’s Gonna Leave a Mark,’” Tuttle says. “I was even more ecstatic when she said she wanted to film at the historic Hotel Chelsea in New York City. It was an unforgettable experience to make this video and feel the spirits of the legendary artists and songs that have echoed in the rooms and hallways of the hotel.”

Filmed in Nashville, the video is directed and edited by Joshua Britt & Neilson Hubbard. City of Gold follows Tuttle’s acclaimed 2022 record, Crooked Tree, which won Best Bluegrass Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards and led NPR Music to call her “a female flat picker extraordinaire with agility, speed and elegance who distinctively brings American roots music into the spotlight,” adding that the album “marries the improvisatory solos of traditional bluegrass with singer-songwriter sophistication.”
