Ben Folds and Nick Hornby follow up on last week's multi-event trip through New York City with an appearance in Washington, DC, tonight. The collaborative team behind the new Nonesuch album Lonely Avenue, featuring words by Hornby and music by Folds, will come together again for a PEN/Faulkner event at DC's Sixth & I Historic Synagogue. Hornby will read from his latest novel, Juliet, Naked, just out in paperback, and Folds will perform songs from Lonely Avenue. The Washington Post Express, previewing tonight's event, calls them "a match made in heaven."

Folds will return to New York with band in tow later this fall, as a new date has just been added to his upcoming tour: December 14 at the Beacon Theatre.
