The Carolina Chocolate Drops, no strangers to the road, enjoyed a few months at home this spring and summer as band member Rhiannon Giddens welcomed "the newest Droplet," her beautiful daughter Aoife (ee-fah) Armentha Laffan, into the world in May, and the group prepares its Nonesuch debut, due out in early 2010. Now, the band is set to hit the road once again for an extensive, 29-date tour of the United States, beginning this Friday at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, and running through a two-gig closer at the Caswell County Civic Center in Yanceyville, South Carolina, in late November. In between, the tour will wind its way through DC, North Carolina, Missouri, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, California, and Oregon.

Below are the scheduled dates and venues. For more information and links to pick up tickets, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour. And now, you can help spread the word about the Carolina Chocolate Drops and let folks know when they're playing near you by joining the band's new street team.
