    Chris Thile, Michael Daves Album "Sleep with One Eye Open" Available for Pre-order; Enter to Win Martin Guitar

    Sleep with One Eye Open, the debut album from mandolin-virtuoso Chris Thile and guitar maven Michael Daves, due out on Nonesuch Records on May 10, is now available for pre-order in the Nonesuch Store. Recorded live to tape over four days at Jack White’s Third Man studio in Nashville, the album is a collection of 16 traditional tunes by bluegrass legends like The Monroe Brothers, The Louvin Brothers, Jimmy Martin, and Flatt & Scruggs.

    Anyone who pre-orders Sleep with One Eye Open here at nonesuch.com and at punchbrothers.com will get an autographed CD and also be entered to win a solid spruce-top Martin 000X1AE acoustic guitar. You can also enter to win by downloading the free track "My Little Girl in Tennessee" below. No purchase necessary to win. The winner will be announced following the May 10 release of Sleep with One Eye Open.

    Thile and Daves met at a bluegrass jam in Manhattan in 2005. Since then, they have been attracting fans with their high-octane interpretations of bluegrass standards at regular gigs at New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall. The duo will take their show on the road with a series of East Coast dates, including a fully sold-out three-night stand at Rockwood May 10, 11, and 12.     Thile is also performing tonight at Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn, joining violinist Hilary Hahn and singer/songwriter Josh Ritter in a concert to benefit Direct Relief International's Japan Relief and Recovery Fund. Click here for tickets.

    Rostam has announced his first North American tour, beginning in Atlanta on January 29, 2018. The tour, featuring music from Rostam's recently released debut album, Half-Light, continues through February, with stops in Nashville, DC, Chicago, Seattle, and more, culminating at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on February 24.
