Sing it Loud, the new album from k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang, is now streaming in its entirety on Amazon.com till April 12, when the album makes its North American debut. lang and the band have confirmed six shows in the UK this spring, prior to their US summer tour. UK fans can catch lang on TV as well on Later with Jools Holland April 19 and The Alan Titchmarsh Show April 20. Mojo gives the album four stars.

As noted yesterday in the Nonesuch Journal, k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang are on their way to Australia for a number of television appearances and interviews and will return there in November for a series of tour dates. Now comes word that lang and the band have confirmed six shows in the UK this May and June, prior to their US summer tour. The dates follow the release of Sing it Loud, which is out in the UK on April 18. And UK fans can catch lang on TV as well, when she performs the album's opening track, "I Confess," on BBC Two's Later with Jools Holland on April 19 and on ITV's The Alan Titchmarsh Show on April 20.
Mojo has already offered its take on Sing it Loud in the latest issue, on stands this week, giving it four stars and saying: "So, was Tony Bennett exaggerating when he called lang 'the best singer of her generation'? Fleet Foxes, which will release its highly anticipated third album, Crack-Up, June 16, has announced four special shows at select intimate theaters in the Pacific Northwest May 15–19. These performances will be the band's first US shows in six years and include dates at Missoula’s The Wilma, Spokane’s Knitting Factory, Portland’s Crystal Ballroom, and a hometown show at Seattle’s Showbox at the Market.
