Although Punch Brothers' three-night New Year's Eve run at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City is sold out, the band has now added a number of new tour dates to their schedule for March. The tour includes several stops along the East Coast, a few in the Midwest, and a pair of festivals: Savannah Music Festival in Georgia and Suwannee Springfest in Florida. A limited supply of pre-sale tickets for many of these shows will be available starting tomorrow, November 20, at 10 AM local at punchbrothers.com/presale. See below for the complete list of currently scheduled dates. General on-sale begins on Friday.

Mandolinist Chris Thile, who recently released an album on Nonesuch of Bach works written for solo violin, will be keeping himself warm before the March tour with five solo shows in Australia in January and five more in the Southwest US in February. That's followed by one more solo stop in Nashville, a handful of duo shows with Mike Marshall in the Pacific Northwest (and the Savannah Music Festival), and a date with Brad Mehldau in Minneapolis in April. See below for more; for details and tickets, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Thile and his fellow Punch Brothers can be heard throughout the soundtrack for the forthcoming Coen brothers’ film, Inside Llewyn Davis, available now at iTunes and in the Nonesuch Store. Produced by T Bone Burnett and the Coen brothers, the soundtrack includes performances by Oscar Isaac, Justin Timberlake, Marcus Mumford, and Carey Mulligan, plus a never-before-released recording of Bob Dylan performing his song "Farewell," which was originally recorded during the sessions for his album The Times They Are A-Changin' and is available exclusively on this soundtrack.
