Robert Plant Unveils New North American Tour Dates With Sensational Space Shifters in June
    Frank Melfi

Robert Plant has announced a new series of North American headline dates celebrating his acclaimed new album, Carry Fire. The dates, for which Plant is once again accompanied by The Sensational Space Shifters, begin June 8 in Atlanta, GA, and continue through the month. Special guests on the tour include Sheryl Crow, Jim James (acoustic), Lucinda Williams, Los Lobos, Elle King, Jon Langford, and Seth Lakeman. The complete itinerary is below.

Spotify will offer special presale access to Plant's biggest fans. A presale code will be sent out via email on March 7 at 10am ET/7am PT. Pre-sales begin Wednesday, March 7 from 10 am to 10 pm (local); local pre-sales follow on Thursday, March 8, from 10am to 10pm (local). Remaining tickets to most announced dates will be released to the general public on Friday, March 9 at 10 am (local). Every ticket purchased online includes a CD or digital copy of Carry Fire. Instructions on how to redeem the album will be emailed after ticket purchase.

Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters just wrapped up the sold out first North American leg of the Carry Fire tour on Friday, earning enthusiastic praise at every stop.

"A night that captured one of rock's most celebrated artists as a work in progress," said AZ Central, "driven by a restless spirit to explore new ground without turning his back on the fans."

"Plant pushes forward, learning about new sounds from around the world and assimilating them into his music," said the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "He doesn't ignore the past, but just reinvents it."

The Toronto Sun wrote: "It was really all about the quality of music, and the fact that we were in the presence of rock royalty as the audience leapt to its feet and remained there for most of the night."

And the Boston Globe said: "As Plant put it in an interview a few years ago: 'Can I knock myself out, or am I just going through the motions?' His performance Friday night at the Orpheum Theatre gave an emphatic reply to that question."

To pick up a copy of Carry Fire, head to your local record store, iTunes, Amazon, and the Nonesuch Store, and listen now on Spotify and Apple Music. Rolling Stone named it among the 50 Best Albums of 2017, writing, "With a title that evokes primal discovery and heroic burden, Carry Fire finds Plant nuancing the mystic stomp of yore for darkening times … It proves that Plant's athletic power, like his musical idealism, burns undiminished."

Hoping the presale for Forest Hills offers some decent seats. Enjoyed Mr Plant and the SSS in NYC, Boston and Chicago . Was a great fun mini RP & SSS Roadtrip.
Don't know what can be done from your end about the bot, resale of tickets but it has gotten out of control. I was lucky enough to purchase tickets without losing my house when tickets went on sale thru ticketmaster. Who are the worst for bots, and resale way out priced tickets.
So much for the good old days when you had to que up for hours to score a good seat.
Fingers and toes crossed to getting tickets the new tech way.
Philadelphia anxiously awaits a tour stop.

Please add Arkansas, Oklahoma or Missouri to the tour!

Very sad to see that Robert Plant is skipping over the Philadelphia Pennsylvania area totally this time around. He missed us on the early leg of the tour and now again the nearest he gets is Maryland and Upper New York. We always thought Philly was a favorite of his! He did a great show at the outdoor Mann Music Center back in 2015. We really feel left out this time around. Very expensive to do lodging and travel for the distant shows. Also, many favorite venues have been ignored in the Philadelphia area for some time now. Even the Mann Center was the first in quite awhile. But he's got it hot for Canada. Very strange. Please tell him to come to Philadelphia!!
