Sara Watkins kicked off her tour with The Decemberists last week and continues through the coming months. Prior to the launch of the tour, Watkins was given the very special opportunity to serve as guest host of the beloved radio show A Prairie Home Companion. Her appearance on WNYC's Soundcheck, in which she discusses her guest-hosting gig, was originally slated to air last week but will air today instead.

Sara Watkins kicked off her tour with The Decemberists last week with a series of three shows at the Beacon Theatre in New York City and the House of Blues in Boston and continues through the coming months.

Prior to the launch of the tour, Watkins was given the very special opportunity to serve as guest host of the beloved radio show A Prairie Home Companion, an unprecedented event in the show's long history. Watkins had appeared as a guest performer on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor several times and joined Keillor and cast on the 25-city Summer Love tour of the United States last year. Her appearance on WNYC's Soundcheck, in which she discusses her guest-hosting gig, was originally slated to air last week but will air today instead. Tune in at 2 PM EST and again at 10 PM on 93.9 FM in New York and online at wnyc.org.

    Vagabon (aka Laetitia Tamko) will support the band Crumb on tour this October. The shows begin in California—Santa Cruz, Oakland, and Sacramento—then head to Salt Lake City and Denver and on to Texas—Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso—and Albuquerque and back to California to close out the tour in Santa Ana, San Diego, and Los Angeles.
