The Black Keys Featured on "American Routes"; Take a First Look at Their "Workaholics" Guest Spot at EW.com

The Black Keys are featured on the latest episode of American Routes, the weekly public radio program out of New Orleans. Band mates Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney spoke with host Nick Spitzer backstage at a performance in the Crescent City about growing up in their hometown of Akron, Ohio, their musical influences, and much more. The first-hour of the show also includes songs from throughout their career and a great mix of tunes including the thematically apt "Dayton, Ohio 1903" by fellow Nonesuch artist Randy Newman. The second hour features New Orleans brass band Soul Rebels. To find American Routes on a public radio station near you or listen to the complete show online, head to americanroutes.wwno.org.

In other news, Auerbach and Carney are set to make a special guest appearance on the Comedy Central show Workaholics this Tuesday, June 19. Entertainment Weekly has a First Look at the episode, with photos from the set, plot details (they're "playing dirtbags"), and an interview with Workaholic's Adam DeVine about how the cameo came about and how the guys fared on set.

”When I found out they were big fans of Workaholics," DeVine tells Entertainment Weekly, "my f—ing eardrums exploded because I was so excited."
