Wanda Jackson's new Jack White-produced album, The Party Ain't Over, is due out January 25; until then, you can listen to the album streaming in its entirety as an NPR First Listen on npr.org. "Jackson's partnership with White proves to be exciting and imaginative, but also entirely appropriate," says NPR. "Both musicians are true innovators who set a new standard for cool. It's like hearing a collaboration between 1958 and 2011, and they get along great."

There is just one week to go before the January 25 release of Wanda Jackson's new album The Party Ain't Over. Until then, you can listen to the album streaming in its entirety as an NPR First Listen on npr.org. Once you've heard the new album from the woman NPR calls "a rare and special icon of rock 'n' roll," there's still time pre-order the album on vinyl and CD in the Nonesuch Store with a limited-edition poster autographed by Jackson and receive the complete album as audiophile-quality, 320 kbps MP3s on release day.

Previewing the album, NPR's Sarah Ventre praises the "star-studded" line-up backing Jackson for creating "a dense but impeccably crafted blanket of sound" but notes that the album's focus is clearly "on Jackson's distinct voice and style, which radiate femininity while maintaining a confident, rough, gritty edge."

Ventre recognizes producer Jack White with marrying those vocals "with his sophisticated and nuanced understanding of sound, to create an updated, cleanly reinvented take on classic songs."

Ultimately, Ventre concludes, "Jackson's partnership with White proves to be exciting and imaginative, but also entirely appropriate. Both musicians are true innovators who set a new standard for cool. It's like hearing a collaboration between 1958 and 2011, and they get along great."

Read more and listen to The Party Ain't Over in its entirety till release day at npr.org. To reserve your copy of the album and the limited-edition, signed poster, visit the Nonesuch Store now.

As noted in the Nonesuch Journal on Friday, the video for the album track "Thunder on the Mountain" will premiere tomorrow at 11 AM EST on AOL Music. Later that day, Jackson and White will be joined by the Third Man House Band for a performance at Third Man Records in Nashville. On Friday, they'll all head to the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York, for the first of three sold-out record-release shows together; the other two follow in at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. Nonesuch Records is giving away a pair of tickets to each of the three shows. To enter to win, simply e-mail info@nonesuch.com and let us know which show you'd like to attend. Winners will be announced on Friday.

**UPDATE (1/21, 1 PM ET): Congratulations to Mark Piro, Ghazal Hashemi, and William Kyle Wilkerson, winners of the Wanda Jackson ticket giveaway from Nonesuch, and thanks to all who entered!**

This Thursday, Wanda Jackson will give New York City audiences an extra treat when she joins the cast of the Broadway play Million Dollar Quartet in the finale of that evening's performance. The musical recounts one very special jam session from 1956 featuring Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley, whom Jackson was dating at the time.
