Sam Amidon will join Bruce Hornsby as special guest on his tour of the Eastern US in June. The concerts begin at Charleston Music Hall in South Carolina and continue in North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, upstate New York, and New Hampshire. Amidon and saxophonist Sam Gendel tour the West Coast starting this Monday.

Sam Amidon, who begins a tour of the West Coast of Canada and the United States with saxophonist Sam Gendel next week, will join singer-songwriter and pianist Bruce Hornsby as special guest on his tour of the Eastern United States in June. The concerts begin at Charleston Music Hall in South Carolina on June 18 and continue in North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, upstate New York, and New Hampshire. Amidon and Gendel's tour begins at Western Front in Vancouver on Monday, followed by shows in Seattle and Portland and three stops in California: Berkeley (as special guest of Bill Frisell), Soquel, and Los Angeles. Days of Wine and Roses is up for Best Original Score for Adam Guettel, Best Leading Actress in a Musical for Kelli O'Hara, and Best Leading Actor in a Musical for Brian d'Arcy James, as well as Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and a Drama League awards. Here Lies Love is up for Tonys for Best Original Score for David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, Best Sound Design of a Musical for M.L. Dogg and Cody Spencer, Best Scenic Design of a Musical for David Korins, and Best Choreography for Annie-B Parson, as well as Outer Critics Circle and Drama League awards.
