    The Black Keys, after performing “Fever,” from their new album, Turn Blue, on Che Tempo Che Fa in Italy Sunday, performs on BBC Two’s Later … with Jools Holland tonight and Friday. On Wednesday, The Black Keys perform on BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe. The band is featured on the cover of the new issue of Mojo magazine (pictured at left), and Turn Blue is Album of the Month in Uncut, which exclaims: “Turn Blue turns out to be The Black Keys’ sneakiest, subtlest and most seductive album.” The Independent gives it five stars, calling it "a post-modern blues-rock marvel."

    The Black Keys will return to Saturday Night Live for their third musical guest appearance on May 10. The program will be hosted by Charlize Theron and will feature songs from the duo’s new album, Turn Blue, which will be released the following Tuesday, May 13, on Nonesuch Records. "Fever," the first single off the album, is currently #1 on AAA radio and #5 on Alternative radio.

    "Turn Blue," the title track of The Black Keys’ forthcoming album, premiered earlier today on Patrick Carney’s SiriusXM show, Serious Boredom, and can be heard here. The song, as well as the first single, "Fever," are both included as free instant downloads with LP, CD, and digital pre-orders of the album in the Nonesuch Store and at the band's site, and with iTunes pre-orders.

    The Black Keys' new album, Turn Blue, will be released May 13 on Nonesuch Records. Produced by Danger Mouse, Dan Auerbach, and Patrick Carney, Turn Blue features 11 new tracks. The first single, "Fever," can be heard here and is included as a free instant download with album preorders, along with early access to concert tickets. Of the new album, the band says Turn Blue could refer to A: Suffocation; B: Sadness; C: Numbness from extreme cold; D: A Cleveland late night TV host from the 1960s named Ghoulardi; E: All of the above.

    Now available in The Black Keys' online store is the official West Akron Baseball League jersey designed by The Black Keys creative director Michael Carney. All profits from this t-shirt will be donated to the W.A.B.L., in which both Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney played as kids. "It was a really positive hobby that kept us from sitting around watching TV," Patrick Carney tells MTV. "We are proud to be sponsoring W.A.B.L to hopefully offset some of the league's expenses and get more kids outside having fun."

    The Black Keys have announced a number of European tour dates for June and July of 2014, starting with the INmusic Festival in Zagreb, Croatia, followed by sets at Open Air St. Gallen in Switzerland, Down the Rabbit Hole Festival in Holland, Open'er Festival in Poland, Mainsquare Festival in France, Rock Werchter in Belgium, Rock in Roma in Italy, Optimus Alive in Portugal, and Bilbao BBK Live in Spain, before closing out at the Festival de Nimes in France.

    The 2013 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, aka Jazz Fest, gets under way today as the first of two consecutive weekends of music unfolds. Included among this weekend's performers are Joshua Redman with his Quartet and New Orleans native sons Dr. John and Allen Toussaint. The Black Keys help close out the festival next weekend. Also in New Orleans this weekend is Fatoumata Diawara, who performs at the House of Blues.

    The line-up for the 2013 Festival d’été de Québec, which runs July 4 to 14, has been announced and includes performances from The Black Keys on the Plains of Abraham and Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell at Parc de la Francophonie, as well as free sets from Dr. John, Amadou & Mariam, and Fatoumata Diawara at Place Metro in Place d’Youville.

    Congratulations to all of the Nonesuch artists who were presented with Grammy Awards at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last night: The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach, Dr. John, Pat Metheny, and Björk. Together, these artists earned a total of seven awards, including three for The Black Keys. And congratulations to all of the Nonesuch artists who were nominated for Grammy Awards this year, including Amadou & Mariam, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Ry Cooder, and Brad Mehldau. To celebrate, MP3 and FLAC editions of all this year's nominated albums are discounted this week.

    The line-up for the 2013 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, aka Jazz Fest, has been announced, and among this year's performers are four artists familiar to readers of the Nonesuch Journal: The Black Keys, Joshua Redman, and New Orleans legends and hometown heroes Dr. John and Allen Toussaint. Jazz Fest runs across two weekends, April 26–28 and May 2–5. The opening weekend includes sets from the Joshua Redman Quartet, Dr. John, and Toussaint; The Black Keys help close out the entire festival on Sunday, May 5.
